Bio: Kristen Schultz Lee’s research interests focus on gender and the life course in a comparative framework.  She is interested in investigating how social context (for example, gender norms and social policies) influences family behaviors and the happiness of different groups (defined by social class and marital status).  In other research, Lee is investigating academic inequality among children.  Lee’s research has been supported by the Japan Foundation and the Fulbright Foundation
