Bio: Jessica Houston Su is a sociologist who studies American family life and inequality. One stream of her research examines how patterns of fertility and family structure in the United States are related to the health and well-being of parents and children. Another stream of research examines how the conditions of low-wage work affect family life, particularly among families with working mothers and young children. She has published articles in Demography, the Journal of Marriage and Family, and Developmental Psychology.
