Bio: Hanna Grol-Prokopczyk is a medical sociologist and demographer.  Her quantitative research focuses on methodological challenges in health measurement, and on sociodemographic disparities in chronic pain.  Her qualitative research explores how medical and ethical concepts develop, differ, and become standardized across countries and time periods.  She is currently involved in several projects on the measurement and social epidemiology of pain.
